RT8576A 是 4 通道 LED 驱动器，每个通道具备 120mA 的 驱动能力。它采用电流模式的 Boost 转换器进行升压，该转换器的工作频率可用 RT 引脚在 100kHz-1MHz 间进行调节，输入电压范围在 9V-28V 之间。
Boost 转换器的控制回路自动根据工作电压最高的 LED 串的需要选择并调节其输出电压，因而容许各 LED 串有不同的工作电压。当 LED 串存在任何未连接或断开的故障时，控制回路可自动检测到并断开其输出，因而可以避免过压状态的发生。
各 LED 串间的电流可用一只电阻进行设定，串与串间的不一致性在 1.5% 以内，通过在 PWM 引脚输入 PWM 信号可对各 LED 串的电流进行调节。
当有过压保护、短路或过热等异常状态发生时，有状态信号可被发送给系统，系统可使 RT8576A 进入关机状态。
